I Love Beijing
Beijing， the capital of China， is a very beautiful and important city， which is one of the ancient cities in China. Perhaps autumn is the most pleasant season of the year. The weather is neither too hot nor too cold. It is the best time for going on a trip.
Last Sunday we went to the countryside. There was golden wheat all over the fields/The fields were covered with golden wheat. Large and colourful apples and pears were hanging on the trees. We could see some peasants were busy getting in the crops in the fields， and others were picking fruits under the trees. All the baskets were full of lovely fruits. It was also the fruit of the peasants' labour. “ No pains， no gains. ” What a magnificent/beautiful picture（it was）！ It seemed as if we were wandering in a splendid/wonderful world.

One day， a student named Tom in Grade One was smoking in the front of the classroom. At that time the headmaster Mr Green saw the student smoking and asked him which grade he was in. He told the headmaster he was in Grade One and that he couldn't read yet. “ Do you see the slogan ” NO SMOKING “ on the wall？ ” the headmaster asked. I'm a senior student. I like English very much. Besides attending English lessons at school， I often go to the English Corner in the park near my home on Sunday morning. It was set up five years ago. Many high school students gather there. Sometimes， some college students and even foreign friends are present at the English Corner， where we practise our spoken English， talk about what we are interested in， exchange our experience in learning English and so on. I've learned a lot. I have greatly improved myself in English since I visited it. It is really a good help to me.
