Chinanews, Beijing, January 8 – ARJ21, an aircraft model completely designed and made in China will fly its inaugural flight in March, 2008, and it will be delivered to the clients before October 2009.

 

ARJ21 is designed by China Aviation Industry Corporation I, and the development of its subsequent model, ARJ21-900, will start in 2007.

 

The aircraft is equipped with 90 seats, and its maximum flying range is about 3,700 km. It can be estimated that it will be very active in the branch airlines in western China, as the designers have taken the conditions of most airports in that area into consideration.

 

Shangdong, Shanghai and Xiamen airlines have booked 71 ARJ21s, and the passengers will be able to fly in aircraft totally made in China as soon as they are delivered.
