Four thousand college students from the mainland and Taiwan held a celebration in Beijing at a summer camp on last Thursday.

　　25 hundred Taiwan students and 15 hundred mainland students participated in the ceremony, which was sponsored by Chinese Education Ministry and Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

　　Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, Cheng Siwei, hopes young people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits can join hands for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

　　The 4000 students will leave Beijing on Friday in 26 separate groups to visit different places on the mainland.
