Chinanews, Shanghai, Feb. 9 – Last year, reality TV shows were very popular in Shanghai. Despite this, a recent TV rating shows that Shanghai people still prefer to watch multi-episode TV dramas, with every Shanghainese watching such dramas for a total of 64.9 minutes per day, the longest in China.
On Tuesday, Shanghai publicized the ratings of the most popular TV shown in Shanghai last year. Most of these were related with emotional stories. Among them, Wu Lin Wai Zhuan (Unofficial Biography of Kungfu Masters) was rated as the most popular TV dramas by Dragon TV.
The rating also shows that Shanghainese prefer to watch local TV stations, since all the top 20 most popular TV programs on the list were broadcast by Shanghai local TV stations.
