Chinanews, Jan.5 - China expects to attract 200,000 overseas Chinese to return home during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan Period (2006-2010) by a series of new encouragement policies, said the Ministry of Personnel on Thursday (Jan.4).
It is learnt that the government will set up up to 150 science centers where the Chinese scholars, who are familiar with international practice and can help lead research in certain fields, can carry out their work.
By the end of 2005, more than 930,000 Chinese have studied abroad, with about 230,000 returning to the country.
