我们常常用“年、月、日”和“星期几”来记录某一天的日期。

　　一 . “年、月、日”日期表示法

　　“年、月、日”日期表达法可分为七类。

　　第一类：按“日、月、年”顺序排列。例如：

　　（ 1 ） 30th Jan. 2004； （ 2 ） 30 Jan. 2004； （ 3 ） 30 Jan， 2004

　　第二类：按“月、日、年”顺序排列。例如：

　　（ 4 ） Jan. 30 2004； （ 5 ） Jan. 30th 2004； （ 6 ） Jan. 30th， 2004

　　第三类：按“ on + 日（序数词）＋ of ＋月＋年”或“ on ＋月＋日（序数词）＋年”顺序排列。例如：

　　（ 7 ） on the thirtieth of January， 2004； （ 8 ） on January （ the ） 30th， 2004

　　第四类（英国）：按“日、月、年”顺序排列。例如：

　　（ 9 ） 30.4.04； （ 10 ） 30/4/04

　　第五类（美国）：按“月、日、年”的顺序排列。例如：

　　（ 11 ） 1.30.04 ；（ 12 ） 4/30/04

　　第六类：按“日、月（罗马数字）、年”顺序排列。例如：

　　（ 13 ） 30/I/04

　　第七类：在电报、电传中常用“年、月、日”顺序，并规定每个时间单位占用两个数字格。例如：

　　（ 14 ） 04 04 30

　　此外，在用“年、月、日”的顺序排列时，可与 morning， afternoon， evening， night 结合。“在 2004 年 1 月 30 日上午”可译为 in the morning on the thirtieth of January， 2004 或 on the morning of the thirtieth of January ， 2004.

　　二 . “星期几”表示法

　　“星期几”表达法可分为四类：

　　第一类：表示“上星期几”

　　（ 1 ）“星期几”＋ of last week 或 last ＋“星期几”＋ week （英式）。例如：

　　I received his letter Monday of last week （或 last Monday week ） .

　　（ 2 ） the ＋“星期几”＋ before last 或 last + “星期几”（美式）。例如：

　　I received his letter Monday before last （ last Monday ） .

　　第二类：表示“本周星期几”。

　　A. 表示本周已过去的星期几。

　　（ 3 ） last ＋“星期几”或 this+ “星期几”（英式）。例如：

　　He went to town last Sunday （或 this Sunday ）。

　　（ 4 ）（ on ） + “星期几”或 this past+ “星期几”。例如：

　　He went to town （ on ） Sunday （或 this past Sunday. ）

　　B. 表示本周内即将到来的星期几。

　　（ 5 ） this coming （或 this ）＋“星期几”（英式）。例如：

　　She will come to see you this coming Friday （或 this Friday ） .

　　（ 6 ）（ on ） + “星期几”（美式）。例如：

　　She will come to see you （ on ） Friday.

　　第三类：表示“下周星期几”。

　　（ 7 ） next ＋“星期几”，“星期几”＋（ of ） next week 或“星期几”＋ week （英式）。例如：

　　We'll go to Shanghai next Saturday （或 Saturday of next week； Saturday week ） .

　　（ 8 ） next+ “星期几”，“星期几”＋ of next week （美式）。例如：

　　We'll go to Shanghai next Saturday （或 Saturday of next week ） .

　　第四类：表示“下下周星期几”。

　　（ 9 ）“星期几”＋ the week after next （或 a week from next week ） ； next ＋“星期几”＋ week （英式）。例如：

　　We'll meet again Tuesday the week after next （或 Tuesday a week from next week 或 next Tuesday week ） .

　　（ 10 ）“星期几”＋ the week after next week； a week from next+ “星期几”（美式）。例如：

　　We'll meet again Tuesday the week after next week （或 a week from next Tuesday ） .
