一． 单一主语情况
1. 以复数形式结尾n. 做主语
a. 学科n. 做主语 (maths. Physics. Politics.news.) + 单数
Maths is difficult.
b. 衣服n. （trousers, shoes）
双部分工具n. (scissors. glasses…) 做主语+复数
My trousers are black.
c. crossroads. works. Means. + 单.复皆可
This means of transport has been tried.
All possible means of transport have been tried.
2. 集体n. 做主语
a.man .mankind. humanity 人类做主+ 单
Only man knows how to cook.
b. youth. people. police. cattle + 复
The cattle are grazing.
d. class. team. public. family 表整体+单
表若干个体+复

3. to do, v-ing, 从句,做主语 +单
