Chinanews, Chengdu, Mar. 20 – According to the Ministry of Land and Resources, Puguang gas field, located in northeastern Sichuan Province, has a verified reserves of 356 billion cubic meters, ranking it China’s second largest gas field. It is the first time for China to discover a large gas field in Sea Facies Stratum.

Ma Yongsheng, a manager from Sinopec Southern Branch said that some 20 gas wells have been drilled around the region, and almost every well is productive. He pointed out that such record is rare even by the world standard.
