Chinanews, Kunming, Dec. 2 - Yunnan has applied TCM therapy to 1,175 AIDS patients, with some effect on improving their life quality.

 

Yunnan being the second province to test TCM therapy on AIDS, it has trained 1,346 medical workers to practice such therapy.

 

TCM helps to improve patients' immune system, thus to be a good support to the "cocktail therapy". It can also reduce the toxicity of the "cocktails". It is also proved that TCM may help to suppress the bearing capacity of HIV and other infections.

 

The first AIDS case in Yunnan was found in 1989, and there were 40,157 cases by the end of 2005, including 2,200 patients, 1,541 of whom are already dead.
