Chinanews, Jinan, November 10 – The day before yesterday (November 8) was the 5th birthday of Kangkang and Zhuangzhuang, two clone cows in Zibo, Shandong Province. They are also the ones that live the longest of their kind in China.

 

Kangkang and Zhuangzhuang are the first two body cell clone cows in China, and their birth even won a national reward for Black Calf Stock-Raising Corp, the company that brought them to the world.

 

Both Kangkang and Zhuangzhuang have conceived and given birth to healthy calves after artificial insemination, which clearly reflects that China has is in the lead of animal cloning technology.
