Former US President, Bill Clinton, met Chinese doctors selected to step up China's fight against AIDS at a ceremony in Beijing on Sunday.
Clinton congratulated the eight doctors, who have been selected to take part in a special month of advanced AIDS treatment training in the US, in association with the Clinton Foundation.
"These local leaders set a standard, that everyone deserves treatment, every life is precious, and we can save many of them."
The aim of the training program is to enable Chinese experts from urban areas to be sent to rural regions to treat AIDS patients.
