Chinanews, Beijing, November 27 – Beijing has started a campaign against illicit pet dogs recently; however, rumor has it that the municipal government is going to confiscate and kill all the unregistered dogs, which has aroused much concern.

 

Thus the municipal government has made an official announcement that it will never kill any pet dogs, and the goal of this campaign is to regulate illicit dog-raising and to eliminate the sense of insecurity among the public caused by reports of dogs biting at people.

 

The government also calls for pet dog owners' action to create a harmonious community for both the people and pet dogs, at the same time working on new regulations on evaluating pet dogs and their owners in the future.
