A contestant nourishing her long hair in a muddy pool

A long-hair contest was staged in Beijing Sunday as part of 2005 China's International Hairdressing Festival.

During the "Fei Cai" Long Hair Charm Contest, 14 contestants aged 18 to 47 compete for their healthy and charming long hair.

The longest hair hits 2.7 meters and the shortest 1.1 meters. Some contestants even have never had their hair cut since they were born.
