LONDON (AFP) - Ageing rock star Rod Stewart was celebrating becoming a father for the seventh time after fiancee Penny Lancaster gave birth to a baby boy.
The couple's first child, who has yet to be named, was born early Sunday at a London hospital, weighing in at a healthy seven pounds and seven ounces.
In a statement, Stewart, 60, said: "Both Penny and our baby son are gorgeous, healthy and doing well."
The child is Lancaster's first, while Stewart other children include Kimberly, 26, and Sean, 25, by first wife Alana. He is also father to Ruby, 18, with former girlfriend Kelly Emberg as well as Renee, 13, and Liam, 11, from his second marriage to Rachel Hunter.
