Jackie Chan, the king of the Hong Kong film industry, has announced his retirement from acting.
"I will make action movies, I think, for a few more years, another five years," Chan, 51, told reporters in Kuala Lumpur while promoting his latest venture, The Myth.
However, Chan will not quit the film business all together. "I don't think I will retire. Maybe from the screen," he explained, "but [not] behind the screen."
Chan is currently taking a break from acting in Hollywood but will return with a martial arts project, probably with the Rush Hour producers, in 2007.
