Celebrated Chinese actress Gong Li's 2003 film "Zhou Yu's Train" is to be adapted into a TV drama.

　　The film, based on Chinese writer Bei Cun's novel of the same title, has won widespread praise from critics.

　　Writer Bei Cun will be responsible for the script himself this time and has promised to remain true to the original plot the novel but to expand the theme of the love story.

　　The TV drama is set to begin shooting at the end of this year.

　　Ding Xiaoxiong will be the director's chair but who will play the lead female role has not yet been decided.
