　　The annual Taiwan Golden Hits Awards opened Saturday night, offering its audience an unexpected winners'list.

　　Widely-acclaimed singers Jay Chow and Leehom Wong didn't manage to pocket any awards during the evening, which surprised rather than disappointed their fans.

　　The coveted Best Album award went to a dark horse candidate, female singer Chen Shanni's "Later, We've all Cried".

　　Singaporean singer Stephanie Sun and Taiwan singer Stanley Huang took home Best Female Singer and Best Male Singer respectively.
