GLASGOW, Scotland - Testing players for next year's World Cup, the United States tied Scotland 1-1 Saturday behind a ninth-minute penalty kick by Josh Wolff in the Americans' final game of 2005.
Andy Webster scored for the Scots on a 37th-minute header during the exhibition game. Wolff, who plays for Kansas City in MLS, nearly had another goal in the 43rd minute.
The United States is ranked No. 7 by FIFA while Scotland is No. 62. The Scots, who failed to reach the World Cup and are looking toward the 2008 European Championship, also tried young players.
