TORONTO (Reuters) - Chris Bosh had a season-high 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Toronto Raptors to a first win of the season, a 107-94 upset of the Miami Heat in National Basketball Association play at the Air Canada Center on Sunday.
Toronto (1-9) had opened the season with nine straight losses, a franchise worst, but took advantage of the absence of Shaquille O'Neal to survive a poor start and finally register a victory.
The Raptors were clearly relieved to finally get the win, leaving the Atlanta Hawks (0-9) as the only winless team in the NBA.
"It definitely lightens up the mood and gives us momentum," Bosh said.
