NEW YORK (Reuters) - Kobe Bryant poured in a game-high 37 points and Smush Parker chipped in with 21 to power the Los Angeles Lakers to a 103-97 victory over the winless Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on Tuesday.
Bryant also dished out five assists in the win and Lamar Odom contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds and six assists as the Lakers spoiled Atlanta's home opener in sending the Hawks to fourth straight defeat.
The Lakers carried the momentum into the final quarter, opening up a 16-point lead with less than four minutes to play before cruising to their third win in four games.
