Chinanews, Kuming, February 1 – The 14th Top-Model-of-the-World Contest was launched in Kunming, Yunnan Province, on January 31, 2007.
Contestants from 56 countries and regions will take part in this 15-day event, bringing with them gifts for the AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth.
It is believed that the contest will introduce the natural beauty of Yunnan and its unique folk customs to the world, thus to boost tourism here.
