Chinanews, November 21 – About 20% more students choose the universities and colleges in the USA for their postgraduate education this year than last year, and 2006 is also the first year for the number of Chinese students in the USA to grow in the last 3 years.
The statistics were from 150 postgraduate educational institutes with the most international students in the USA. In fact, not only the number of Chinese students, but also the number of students from other countries have greatly increased in the USA.
Margret Spellings, the US Secretary of Education, also said in Beijing recently that the US government would simplify the visa-granting procedures for Chinese students in the future.
