抽象名词前加定冠词的几种情况


1. 单形抽象名词前加定冠词，无数念或表单念 
(1)   They avoided him like the plague(无数念) .

(2)   This type of drama appeals more strongly to the intellect(无数念) than to the emotions . 

(3)   The idea(单念) of the game is to hit the ball over the net .

2. 复形抽象名词前加定冠词，表各种数念
(1)   He laid the foundation(复念) of his success by hard work .

不定冠词用于抽象名词几种类型


1.用于单形抽象名词

（1）I am quite at a loss .

  2.用于由动词转化来的抽象名词

（1）Can you give me a lift .

  3.用于已转化为类名词的抽象名词

（1）She is quite a beauty.

  4.用于形抽象名词

（1）The first batsman had a short innings
