说的用法（CET英语）

一个英语句子之美妙，段落之精彩，其值得称道之处很多。要使文章写得生动、多姿多彩，表述准确、鲜明，可采用近义词，如"说"字，用得最多的莫过于say， speak，talk，tell几个。其实"说"字的表述还有很多，在英美报刊中很常见。作为英语学习者，倘若使用得当，会使表达更有力、更准确，态度更明确。如：
1．"Have a nice evening，"added（补充说）the sister-in-law，"and have fun）
2．"Oh，my brother will be glad to see you．"repeated（重复说）Robbie to his Mum．
3．"Okay，let’s watch the film tonight．"agreed（同意） his girlfriend．
4．"It’s not my fault．"he defended（辩解道）．
5．"I still mean to go abroad to study further．"insisted（坚持）the student．
6．"I，a new comer，can finish this difficulttask within a week，believe it or not．"boasted（吹嘘）the young man．
7．"Taiwan is part of China．Peaceful reunification of Taiwan with Chinese Mainland is our long-term policy．"stressed（强调说）the spokesman of Foreign Ministry of China at the press conferece．
还有：complain（埋怨），argue（辩解），joke（开玩笑），protest（抗议），criticize（批评），refute（反驳），reveal（透露），imply（暗示）等等。
