1．to hack at sth．／sb．：to strike heavily at sth．／sb．猛砍或猛劈某物（某人）。例如：

2．to hail（sth．）down（on sb．）：to come or send（sth．）down hard and fast迅猛地落下；使（某物）迅猛地落下。例如：

7．to hiss（at）sb．／sth．：to make this sound to disapproval of sb．／sth．发嘘声（表示不赞成或不满意某人／某事物）。例如： 
The audience hissed at the new play．观众向这出新戏发出嘘声。 
8．to hitch sth．up：to pull（esp one’s clothes）up with a quick movement急速拉起（尤指自己的衣服）。例如： 
She hitched up her dress so as not to get it wet．她把裙子往上提起，免得弄湿了。 
9．to hoe sth．（up）：to remove（weeds）with a hoe用锄除（草）。例如：

12．to hound（from ／out of sth．）：to force sb．to leave（sth．／a place）强迫某人离开（某物或某地）。例如： 
He was hounded out ofhis job by jealous rivals．他受到嫉妒他的竞争者的算计而被迫离职。 
13．to hover over ：to remain in the air in one place，to remain in an uncertain state在……上空盘旋，笼罩。例如： 
The helicopter hovered over the crowd for a few seconds before inching away．直升机在人群的头顶上盘旋了几秒钟后慢慢飞走了。 
14．to huddle up（against to sb．／sth．）：to curl one’s body into a small space；snuggle把身子蜷成一团；蜷缩。例如： 
Tom was cold so he huddled up against the radiator．汤姆感到冷，所以他挨着散热器把身子缩成一团。 
15．to hurl oneself at：to throw violently at sth．用力投掷；猛投；向……扑过去，用身子猛撞。例如： 
They hurled themselves at the enemy．他们向敌人猛攻。 
The dogs hurled themselves at the bear．狗向熊猛扑过去。
