  数字与计算题是听力理解测试中常出现的题型。内容涉及时间的长短、价格的高低、年月和日、街道、房间的编号以及电话号码等。往往要求考生采用加减乘除和混合计算法进行近音、近形数字的辨认。例如： 
[例1] 
You will hear: 
M: Can you loan me $5? 
W: I only had $10, but I just spent $7. 
Q: How many dollars can the woman lend him? 
You will read: 
a. $10 b. $3 c. $7 d. $5 
通过简单的减法计算：10 - 7 = 3, 就可得知答案是b。 
[例2] 
You will hear： 
W: Tickets are four dollars，children’s tickets are half the price. 
M: Okay, I’d like two adults’ and two children’s tickets, please. 
Q: How much did the man pay for the tickets? 
You will read: 
a. $16 b. $12 c. $ 4 d. $6 
只要进行如下计算: (两张成人票) $4 x 2 + (两张儿童票) $8 x 1/2 = $12, 就可以选答案b了。 
[例3] 
You will hear： 
M：Is this 415 Fifth Street？ 
M：No，it’s 514 Fourth Street. 
Q：What address is the man looking for？ 
You will hear： 
a. 514 Fifth Street b. 415 Fourth Street c. 514 Fourth Street d. 415 Fifth Street 
只要认真听, 并作笔记, 就不难知道答案是d了。
