U.S. President George W. Bush Chinanews, Jan. 11 - U.S. President George W. Bush said Wednesday night that he will send 21,500 additional US forces to Iraq, as part of his new Iraq strategy. He was to acknowledge for the first time he took responsibility for "mistakes" made in Iraq.
The United States would change its strategy to help the Iraqis carry out their campaign to put down sectarian violence and bring security to the people of Baghdad, and that would require increasing American force levels, he said.
