Chinanews, Beijing, April 3 - According to a report by Beijing Times, at least 149 state-owned enterprises(SOEs) in Beijing that have been suffering losses for three consecutive years will be excluded in the economic planning for the next 4 years.
These enterprises will have to declare bankrupt, nullify their registration, close, disincoporate, merge with other enterprises or be sold.
The time limit for readjustment of the enterprises will be 2010. The spokesperson of Beijing Municipal State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Administration said that the readjustment would involve restructuring state-owned assets layout, and eliminating the source of the losses by reducing the burdens on state-owned enterprises, thereby to inject new vigor into the state-owned economy.
