Chinanews, Beijing, March 21 - The Bank of China (BOC) and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) jointly held a press briefing on March 20 in Beijing, at which they announced that they would start provide "private banking services" in China. Li Lihui, the governor of BOC and Sir Fred Goodwin, the chief executive of RBS attended the opening ceremony of the press briefing, and made goodwill speeches.
The first batch of "private banking outlets" will start their business on March 28, 2007 in the Chaoyang District of Beijing and the Pudong New District of Shanghai.
