Chinanews, Beijing, February 14 – Sixty-two foreign enterprises entered property market in Beijing in 2006, a 47.6% growth, according to the State Statistics Bureau and the General Investigation Team of Beijing Municipal Statistics Bureau.
Actually, most of foreign investment in Beijing are on the tertiary industry, especially on the real estates. Property contracts worth $1.58 billion were signed with foreign companies in 2006, 134.7% more than in 2005. The actually used foreign capital in 2006 reached $240 million.
The retail and wholesale industry also absorbed a large quantity of foreign investment, drawing 320 new investors from abroad in 2006, and contracts worth $420 million were made. The actually used foreign capital in the industry in 2006 was $240 million.
