Chinanews, Beijing, Feb. 10 – It is estimated that about 15% more autos will be imported by China in 2007 than in 2006, including various kinds of vehicles.
With the strengthening of the competitiveness of local auto makers, the import of low-emission cars has dropped greatly. However, the import of high-emission cars and high-end cars has kept increasing. In 2006 alone, more than 200 thousand autos were imported, a 41% growth, and the import of high-emission cars jumped by 92%.
