Chinanews, Beijing, January 24 – China has the largest group of wired television viewers in the world, with 130 million families enjoying the convenience of wired television, nearly 200% of the figure in the US. However, wired television service providers in China only net 3% of the profit of their US counterparts, and only 3% of the Chinese wired television viewers have digital TV receivers, while the figure in the US is 48%.

 

It can be estimated that digital TV service will be the new growth point for wired TV service providers. The number of digital TV viewers in China will leap by 90% in each of the next three years, according to a report by Morgan Stanley.

 

Two years later will be the best opportunity to invest on digital TV service in China, when 10% of the viewers will have started enjoying the service.
