Chinanews, Nanning, September 30 – Maybe it is beyond the wildest dreams of everyone in Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, that their city is the world's biggest man-made gem producer, where 80% of the world’s man-made rubies and diocromas (90% of total domestic output) are produced every year.

 

More than 100 thousand workers in Wuzhou produce more than 120 million gems annually. Though gems have not brought much tax revenue to the city, they have offered more than 100 thousand job opportunities, a great contribution to attainment of the goal of building a harmonious society.
