Chinanews, Shanghai, April 6 - Shanghai finished its second 10,000 international talents gathering project on April 3, 2007, after 10,324 overseas talents came to work here, including 4,000-plus experts from developed countries, 9 months earlier than planned. At present the city is ready to launch its high-level international talents gathering project soon.
The new project is aimed at attracting more foreign experts (particularly educationists and economists), senior technicians and experienced management personnel, to support key research projects in Shanghai.
Though the new talents gathering project was only kicked off 2 days ago, more than 2,000 people have filed their applications so far.
