Chinanews, Beijing, Apr. 12 – The Beijing Municipal Health Bureau recently issued a health report. The report shows that 32% of the elementary and middle school students in Beijing have some kind of mental problems. 80% of teenagers miss the best chance for treatment of their mental problems because of negligence, the Beijing News reported.

 

The mental health problems of Chinese teenagers are rather serious. Among young people under 17, there are 30 million who have sentimental or behavioral problems. They have difficulties in human relations and they find it hard to control their mood. Some students have problems in their study, said Deng Xiaohong, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau.

 

Family plays an important role in helping the children to avoid having mental problems, since 50% of the kids who have mental problems come from a troubled family, Deng said.
