Chinanews, Beijing, Feb. 13 – A recent survey showed that Chinese white collars gave 61.9 out of 100 marks to their sense of career satisfaction last year, just over the passing mark, the China Youth Daily reported.

 

The survey was conducted by ChinaHR.com, a human resource website, for the purpose of finding out how white collars felt about their career last year by asking them 20 questions that covered nearly everything related with their jobs, from sense of belongingness and career development opportunities to health and human relations in office.

 

The survey shows that white collars are most satisfied with the sense of belongingness at work and career development opportunities. The item “I got promoted” gets the highest average score of 3.68, and the item “I got training” receives an average score of 3.53, the third highest mark among all. White collars’ sense of belongingness is placed as the second highest on the paper, with an average score of 3.6.

 

Most white collar workers are also pleased with their work being rewarded or acknowledged, work stability, and work prospect.

 

The white collars are most dissatisfied with their interpersonal relations at work, with the item “I get on well with my colleagues” and the item “I get on well with my boss” placed at the bottom and the last but two positions on the questionnaire form, respectively, with average scores of 2.26 and 2.69 only.

 

In addition, many white collars are not happy with their health conditions, either, since the survey shows that the item “I didn’t get sick because of heavy work pressure” receives only an average score of 2.45, appearing at the last but one position on the questionnaire form.
