Chinanews, Shanghai, Feb. 9 - The Portman Ritz Carlton, a luxury hotel in Shanghai promoted a Valentine’s Day Dinner pricing 180 thousand yuan in 2006, and this year its dinner price will create a new record: 388 thousand yuan.

 

Shangri-La Hotel in Pudong recently promotes its Valentine’s Dinner pricing 388 thousand yuan. All kinds of souvenirs including diamonds and costumes are also counted in. This year some people intend to have a Valentine’s Dinner at 180 thousand yuan, while last year it failed to get any attention.

 

The Portman Ritz Carlton’s dinner will also provide kinds of luxury merchandises, its customers can also have chances to travel aboard the extravagant passenger liner Shengrong International.

 

The Shangri-La’s dinner will cost more, but it will provide more luxury goods, includinghaving evening dresses designed by Vera Wang, diamonds, necklaces and pendants from South Africa, pen made by Caran d"ache and Cartier watches, in addition to driving in Rolls-Royce limousine.

 

Valentine’s Day is very popular in Shanghai, and Valentine’s Dinner priced at 500 to 1,000 yuan is also in brisk demand. By Feb. 6, nearly half of such dinners in Shangri-La have been ordered. There will be more orders coming in next week.
