Chinanews, Changchun, Feb.12 – Nowadays many white-collar workers in Changchun feel gripped by tension, especially when the Spring Festival is drawing near. Thus many of them consciously pursue a slow-paced life to relieve themselves of the pressures.
They try their best to appreciate life, having “slow dinner”, doing“slow exercise”, taking it easy while driving. Their ultimate goal is to learn to maintain a peaceful mind in the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Spring Festival puts a lot of pressures on me every year, ” said Ms. Liu, a consultant in a department store. “Psychologist call it 'Spring Festival syndrome', a psychological imbalance.”
Liu now chooses a much slower life. Chatting with friends in tea houses, enjoying herself thoroughly in spas and weekly yoga have become necessities to her.
“Only through a slow-paced life can one find harmony,” said Liu. Actually, a slower pace of life will not only ease the pressures, but also get rid of depression and helplessness.
