Chinanews, Beijing, Feb. 5 – The detailed incomes of different social strata in China have been exposed online recently, including year-end bonus.
Income has always been private in both Eastern and Western countries. However, A Yi, an associate professor from Peking University, was the first to expose his 4,000 yuan monthly income on his blog last September to prove that “professors from Peking University were not rich at all”. Of course, he also published how much he had earned through producing and hosting TV programmes, which was the major source for repaying education and loans expenditures of his child.
Many others have followed the example of A Yi, and a financing forum has gathered the statistics, thus all the Internet surfers are able to compare the incomes of different social strata in China.
Actually, many people expose their incomes to show off, while some others want to gain a sense of self-satisfaction through comparison with those who earn less than them.
