(Photo: Xinhua) Chinanews, Guangzhou, January 29 – Tuantuan and Yuanyuan are the two pandas originally intended to be sent to Taiwan as gifts from the Chinese mainland. Their Taiwan trip having failed to materialize, the State Forestry Administration has decided to send them together with another young panda to Guangzhou for display this Wednesday (January 31, 2007).
They will stay in Xiangjiang Wildlife Park, where already live two pandas aged 23 and 30 respectively. It is rare for any zoo in the world to have 5 pandas at a time.
