Chinanews, Haikou, Feb. 2 – Mengqi, the first transsexual singer in China, committed suicide by cutting her left wrist on January 29. Fortunately, she was saved.

 

Mengqi left her last words on her personal website on January 23, in which she complained about the discriminations. After posting the testament, she disappeared.

 

She called her assistant, Gao, before trying to kill herself and told him where she was. Gao went to her apartment immediately, only to find that she had already cut her left wrist with a razor. Gao managed to stop her and send her to hospital.

 

Thanks to the timely treatment, Mengqi is safe now, but she is still very emotionally sensitive.
