Chinanews, Jan.22 - The Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau returned 7,500 stolen bicycles back to their owners Jan.20.
On Saturday afternoon, 1,000 bicycles and electric bikes, each pasted with a serial number and district name, were waiting for their owners in front of the Beijing Exhibition Center. In less than five minutes, all the bicycles had been claimed and taken away.
Since most of the bikes had been changed or disassembled by thieves, the police also provided an on-site repair service.
