Jan.15 - A blind man living in Tianjin built an online library of different sounds to help other blind people.
The local Xinbao newspaper says Liu Yunsong teamed up with another blind man from Beijing to put together a website that houses more than 16,000 audio files.
The site is the first of its kind in China. It offers a range of audio files, including readings from classic literature, to music and movies.
People can listen to all the sounds through the website free of charge.
Liu Yunsong said his next plan is to develop software that can transform text into sound, to held blind people browse the internet.
