Chinanews, Shanghai, December 26 – Horizon Research conducted a survey on fashion recently, finding Shanghai to be the most fashionable city in China.

 

With unique economic and cultural background as an international metropolis, Shanghai deserves the name of the most fashionable city.

 

In the survey, some 50.75% of the responders from Shanghai appreciate single life as the most fashionable marital statues, and 26.12% are willing to be “weekend couples”. The love of senior citizens are also well respected, for 32.09% of the responders say they fully understand it. However, only 41.04% of Shanghainese accept DINK, while the national figure is 41.63%.

 

The most fashionable job post in Shanghainese's mind is model, which reflect that Shanghainese appreciate individuality and personal charms, very similar to New Yorkers.

 

What is the symbol of fashion? Some 32.84% of the responders selected cars (lower than the national figure of 32.84%), and another 27.61% picked up jewels (higher than the national figure of 17.98), which might stand for the consumption of women in Shanghai.
