A young white collar makes her heart-shape card before a matchmaking wall in Beijing, Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006.   Chinanews, Beijing, Nov. 29 – Miss Ren, a white collar working in Fenglian Plaza, found on Monday that a matchmaking wall had been set up in her work place, which was covered with the information of spouse-seekers, most of them staff members working in the same building.

 

According to Beijing Times, Beijing's 30 main office buildings like Fenglian Plaza will all have set up such a wall by the end of this year, which will provide good opportunities for young office workers to make friends with each other.

 

These walls are a part of an activity called "Finding Love in the Same Building," initiated by a local website. Its staff member Lin Jingjing believes these walls are effective mediums for single white collars to know each other and convey their true feelings. She deems that they can find their beloved ones more easily in such ways.

 

According to Lin, single men and women can get heart-shape cards from the organizers of the activity, on which they can write down their requirements and E-mail addresses. They can even name their loved ones on these cards. The "Angels for Love," special messengers appointed by the organizers, will help to deliver these cards.

 

The organizers also prepare several special wrist belts with codes, triangle-marked belts for men and circular-marked belts for women. They can make friends based on those marks and codes during a matchmaking party on Dec. 3. Currently there are 673 people registered for the party.
