With severe social employment situation, college and university graduates will also encounter heavy employment pressure, according to the "2007 college and university graduates employment meeting" held in Beijing on Monday.
It is affirmed in the meeting that college graduates employment forms an important part of the social employment, and it is also one of the most direct and practical problems people are concerned about. Colleges and universities should especially consider this problem as one of primary concern to school development.
The meeting decided to set 2007 as a year providing full services for the employment of college and university graduates. Colleges and universities are requested to establish employment network and actively improve online employment, to provide better services for grassroots employment projects, and to detail information of employment policy in a more earnest and clear way to students. It is proposed that disadvantaged schools, especially non-governmental, higher vocational, and newly established colleges, should gain more support in their graduates employment. Needy or disabled graduates should also gain more social concern in employment.
