Chinanews, Beijing, November 7 – Currently China is witnessing its third single tide, when, for example, there are more than one million single people aged between 30 and 50 in Beijing and Shanghai.
A survey by China Youth Daily also reveals that nearly 50% of people sense the arrival of a “single” society, although they are not clear whether there are more single men or women around.
As a matter of fact, single women draw much more attention, and are under much heavier pressure than single men in China.
With the development of the society, there will be less and less social pressure upon single people, as is indicated by the result of the survey. About 66.5% of the responders say they appreciate and respect other people’s choice as regards lifestyle observing.
