Chinanews, Beijing, October 10 – Moonlighting has long been considered as breaking work ethics; however, about 70% of Chinese office workers, especially young people confess that they have to do so to make ends meet. Other 30% take moonlighting as a good way to learn how to start their own businesses.

 

Tang, 26, is an analyzer in a consulting company in Beijing. His online weight-reducing food shop on Taobao.com can net about 10 thousand yuan a month, even higher than his salary. “Though I started the business for interest, now money is my major concern, and I will keep the shop going as long as it is profitable,” said Tang.

 

Even those with decent salaries like to go moonlighting, too, for nobody would turn down some extra money. Moonlighting also has the flexibility that no full-time posts can rival.
