Chinanews, Beijing, Sept. 29 – A golden wedding celebration for retired officials from 20 ministries and commissions of the State Council will be held in the Great Hall of the People on October 30.

 

The organizers of the activity held a news conference on Sept. 28, and revealed that 100 couples would participate in the celebration, some of them retired ministers, artists and scientists, the oldest person being 92 aged.

 

Many couples will also take golden wedding photos during the ceremony to commemorate their colorful life of the past 50 years.

 

Lu Houmin, a senior advisor to Chinese Photographers Society, will be invited to organize a photographic team to serve these couples. Related performances for the celebration are also under preparation.
