Chinanews, Beijing, Sept. 15 – According to a report of Legal Daily, China's public security units cracked one fifth of total criminal cases through the Internet in 2005, when they captured 650 criminals on average every day.

He said that more than 100 kinds of databases have been created by central and provincial public security bureaus, including information on national population, people coming into and going out of the country, automobile drivers, criminals, stolen automobiles, etc.
A dozen of provincial public security units have popularized online information databases that can help to solve cases, evaluate public security work, carry out investigations or conduct monitoring.
